Skip the professional photographs and ask another guest to take your photo on your phone! You can always stand in the same spot at another time when the photographers aren't there...

The quality will depend on the person taking the photo, of course... but I've had some great photos this way, and nobody has ever said no. I find people on cruises to normally be friendly and helpful!

If you have space in your calendar for a last-minute bargain, there are some fantastic deals with Marella at the moment. I've found a 7-night Canary Island cruise (including flights, transfers and alcoholic drinks) with Marella for £766pp in January!! I can definitely eat and drink that much per day...

If it's tricky to get away from work/life so last minute, booking for next winter can be a great option too.

Marella has a few discounts at the moment that work on next winters cruises and bring a similar week under 1k per person for early 2026. These won't last for long, though!
